Elder Fatima Batts

Elder Fatima Batts. I am a motivational/inspirational speaker, connecting with communities to spread awareness on mental health and the word of God. I have been focusing on mental health for many years now, having battled with some issues myself. God delivered me and I want others who suffer in silence to know that He can do the same for them.

My background includes a bachelor’s degree in psychology and currently studying for my master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. I have a certificate in Mental Health and Clinical Counseling, as well as Pre-Marital/Marriage Coach, and Christian Life Coach. For years I have always wondered what my purpose was in life.

I was always drawn to people as they were to me, to help motivate, encourage, and uplift. God showed me a vision, a ministry a couple of years ago, and it was to tell my testimony to others about my struggle with mental illness and the deliverance that God had already planned in life. My assignment from God is to now tell people of His goodness and show people that through the Word of God they are not alone, they can be delivered, healed, and set free from the strongholds of the enemy. Mental illness is real, but the word of God shows us that He is bigger than mental illness, all we must do is trust Him! I wrote my first devotional “How She Found Her Strength from Within” two years ago. My devotional talks about the different struggles in life that we as humans face. However, for me God spoke to me through scripture and verses, that would help me find my strength within myself to overcome different obstacles. I now have a second devotional “Don’t Give Up Your Breakthrough Is Now.”

My vision is to spread the goodness of God, that we are never alone because God is with us. I am currently in the process of opening an emergency shelter for those in need of emergency care. Here not only will an individual receive the proper help to get on their feet, but also resources such as prayer, Christian coaching, and Life coaching to keep them encouraged when times get hard. In the word of God, God says “I will never leave nor forsake you.”  My favorite scripture in the word of God is “I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength” Philippians 4:13
